This week, from May 1st-7th, is what the humans call National Pet Week! Of course, us guinea piggies call it by its correct name, which is National Pet Wheek. According to the National Pet Week website, its purpose is to promote responsible vet ownership, celebrate the bond between humans and animals, as well as promote public awareness of veterinary medicine.
Our humans celebrated by giving us lots of yummy food, hugs and cuddles, while whee piggies celebrated by inhaling lots of yummy food and allowing ourselves to be petted without too much fuss. Of course, whee had to fuss some... can't let them think we've become complacent! See Coppy here, who is being hugged and cuddled by one of our humans.
